AdventHealth taps new leader for Western North Carolina hospitals

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — AdventHealth has appointed Daniel Tryon as president and CEO of its Hendersonville and Polk facilities, the health system announced Monday.

Tryon, a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, brings more than 15 years of leadership experience, most recently as president of multiple hospitals within Kettering Health in Ohio. His background includes leading quality improvement efforts, expanding specialty services and increasing access to care through new outpatient centers and rural health initiatives.

He succeeds Brandon Nudd, who has been named president and CEO of AdventHealth Waterman in Florida. Nudd led AdventHealth Hendersonville and AdventHealth Polk through a period of growth and expansion in whole-person, faith-based care across Western North Carolina.

“Daniel is a trusted health care leader with an unwavering commitment to patient care,” Mike Thompson, CEO of AdventHealth’s Southeast Region, said in a news release. “His proven ability to drive clinical excellence, combined with a deep commitment to mission-driven leadership, positions him perfectly to guide AdventHealth Hendersonville and AdventHealth Polk as we continue to elevate faith-based, whole-person care in our communities. His collaborative spirit and dedication to cultivating a supportive, empowering work environment will be a tremendous asset to our team members.”

Tryon and his wife pare excited to join the community AdventHealth serves in Western North Carolina, where they look forward to continuing the work of building strong teams and expanding access to care.

AdventHealth North Carolina, part of the national AdventHealth system, provides care through hospitals, physician practices and outpatient services across the region. The health system employs more than 100,000 team members at over 2,000 care sites nationwide.
