ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The Asheville Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in identifying an armed robber who held up a convenience store on Hendersonville Road this week.
According to APD, the robber arrived around 7:54 a.m., Thursday, June 11 to a store on the 600 block of Hendersonville Road. Officers reported that the suspect, a Black man in his early 40s, was wearing a mask and a hoodie and made a small purchase. Later, he returned to the counter with a gun and demanded that the clerk give him money. The suspect left the store with $407 in cash and drove southbound on Hendersonville Road in a white Infiniti four-door sedan with tinted windows.
The suspect was described as wearing “a black and white flannel shirt, mask, hat and blue jeans.”
