Asheville Goodwill to reopen today after warehouse fire

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) —  A fire that broke out early Monday morning at the Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina warehouse in Asheville has been extinguished, officials said.

The Asheville Fire Department responded quickly and worked throughout the day to contain the fire at the facility located at 1616 Patton Ave.

As of Tuesday, July 8, Goodwill announced that its career center, retail store and outlet at the location will resume normal operations.

Fire officials said Tuesday that the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Goodwill is also in the process of assessing the damage.

The organization expressed gratitude to the Asheville Fire Department for its swift and effective response.
