Asheville Muni among nominees in 2026 Best of North Carolina Awards

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Asheville Municipal Golf Course has been nominated in the Golf Courses category for the 2026 Best of North Carolina Awards.

Voting is open through March 31 and allows participants to cast one ballot per day during the voting period through the Guide to North Carolina website.

City officials encouraged residents and supporters of the historic public golf course to participate, saying the recognition would help spotlight the longtime community facility.

Chimney Rock at Chimney Rock State Park is one of two area recreation places on the ballot in the 2026 Best of North Carolina Awards.

Several other Western North Carolina businesses and recreation sites also received nominations across multiple categories.
