ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The wait for baseball in the mountains is nearly over.

The Asheville Tourists will open the 2026 season April 21, ushering in what the club calls “a whole new era” at the team’s newly renovated ballpark. Single-game tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24.

Opening Day begins a three-game homestand April 21-23 that will feature a magnet schedule giveaway. The following weekend includes postgame fireworks April 24 and a Black jersey giveaway April 25.

The club also released its 2026 promotional calendar, highlighting a season packed with themed nights, specialty jerseys and fireworks shows.

Among the early-season events are special 11:05 a.m. first pitches May 6 and May 13. Fans can also look forward to Friday Fireworks on multiple dates throughout the season, including May 15, June 19, July 10, July 31, Aug. 14, Aug. 21 and Sept. 4.

Giveaways this year include several specialty jerseys: a Black jersey April 25, a Donut jersey May 9, a Pink Sprinkles jersey May 16, a home jersey June 6, an alternate jade jersey June 20, a Snot Otters jersey July 11, a Moon Head jersey Aug. 1, a gray jersey Aug. 15, a Hippies jersey Aug. 22 and a basketball jersey Sept. 5.

The team will also host “Doggies at the Diamond” on June 3 and Aug. 12, allowing fans to bring their dogs to the ballpark.

A highlight of the summer schedule includes back-to-back fireworks shows July 3 and July 4 as part of an America’s 250th celebration. The regular season concludes with Labor Day Weekend fireworks Sept. 6.

The Tourists will continue their “Thirsty Thursday” promotion throughout the season, offering drink specials during Thursday home games.

Fans can purchase tickets and access their 2026 seats online beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
