ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — BeLoved Asheville on Wednesday received $1,500 worth of kick scooters, Bluetooth headphones and Bluetooth speakers from UScellular, now part of T-Mobile, as an early holiday surprise for local youths.

The donation supports the nonprofit’s mission of fostering a community where all individuals, regardless of race, ethnicity or socioeconomic status, can experience belonging, wellness, fairness and potential.

This gift is part of more than 50 similar donations UScellular is making nationwide this holiday season to nonprofits serving local families.

Community members can also contribute by dropping off new, unwrapped toys at any local UScellular retail store. All collected items will be delivered to BeLoved Asheville.

Traci Cash, local marketing and engagement manager for UScellular, said the initiative reflects the companies’ shared commitment to supporting communities.

With T-Mobile and UScellular now working together, we’re able to expand our impact, help more families stay connected and strengthen essential community programs, Cash said.
