Crash blocks lane on I-26 near New Stock Road

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — A vehicle crash has closed one lane of eastbound I-26 near Exit 21 at New Stock Road, authorities reported Friday morning.

The right lane is blocked, leaving one of two lanes open. The incident is expected to cause significant traffic delays.

The lane closure began at 9:56 a.m. and is expected to last until about noon.

Drivers are urged to use caution and consider alternate routes if possible.
