Change in Buncombe County garbage haulers to happen next week

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — FCC Environmental Services will soon replace Waste Pro as the hauler for residential garbage and recycling collection in unincorporated areas of Buncombe County. The change happens Jan. 2.

FCC will automatically deliver new trash and recycling carts to all residents in unincorporated Buncombe County who have been using Waste Pro. If you do not want to use FCC’s service, you must opt out. Residents who do not opt out will automatically be enrolled in FCC service and will begin receiving quarterly billing. In order to opt out, you will need to contact FCC at 828-820-7022.

DON’T FORGET TO SIGN UP WITH NEW GARBAGE HAULER

FCC will send mailers with service day information and a helpful calendar for easy reference.
