HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The city of Hendersonville says it has launched an internal investigation into a matter within the Public Works Department.

City officials said the investigation aims to gather facts regarding a concern raised within the department. Because the investigation is ongoing, authorities declined to provide further details.

A follow-up statement is expected once the review is complete.
