On their way home, they couldn’t resist stopping at Smoky Mountain Christmas Tree Farm near Canton. Known for its friendly staff and stunning scenery, the farm felt like a winter wonderland. They didn’t buy another tree but left with handmade ornaments and freshly baked cookies.

Cartner’s Christmas Tree Farm (Newland)

This family-owned farm has been serving customers for more than 60 years, offering a variety of Fraser fir trees. Most of the farm’s business is selling wholesale to independent garden centers and stores around the country. This year, a 20-foot conical tree that dwarfs most of the others on the sprawling farm was taken to the White House.
