Man found shot to death in Asheville early Saturday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Asheville police are investigating after a man was found fatally shot early Saturday morning near Granada Street.

Officers with the Asheville Police Department responded to a report of a gunshot wound victim around 12:20 a.m. Saturday, March 7. When officers arrived, they located a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim, identified as Eric Lee Anderson Lordman Jr., 27, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Authorities said the case marks the first homicide in Asheville in 2026.

Officers, detectives and forensic technicians are continuing to investigate the shooting and are following up on leads.
