Friday, Dec. 5

5th Annual Asheville Winter Wonder Walk – 6-8:30 p.m., Adventure Center of Asheville

The holiday spirit meets live outdoor theater at the Winter Wonder Walk. The 5th Annual Winter Wonder Walk, crafted by Asheville Plays! and hosted at the Adventure Center of Asheville, is an immersive, family-friendly stroll through the Kingdom of Winterland, a wintry story world filled with whimsical characters.

Watch “Zootopia 2” – Now playing in theaters

The sequel to 2016’s Oscar-winning animated caper “Zootopia” is now in theaters. Animal detectives Nick Wilde, voiced by Jason Bateman, and Judy Hopps, voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin, embark on another case alongside an ensemble cast of critters voiced by stars like Shakira, Idris Elba, Ke Huy Quan, Quinta Brunson, and Danny Trejo.

Saturday, Dec. 6

Hometown Pro Wrestling “Christmas for All” Show – Noon to 6 p.m., Asheville Mall

The Western North Carolina-based Hometown Pro Wrestling announced its debut signature event, “Christmas for All,” set for Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, at Asheville Mall. The event will feature live wrestling matches, meet-and-greets with local and national talent, vendors, live music, charity raffles and a holiday-themed finale.

The Big Crafty: Preview Day – Noon to 6 p.m., Harrah’s Cherokee Center – Asheville

The Big Crafty, Asheville’s semiannual craft shopping extravaganza, returns this weekend. Over 180 vendors will set up shop at Harrah’s Cherokee Center, selling artsy wares of all kinds. Tickets for Preview Day are $10 and can be purchased online or at the door.

Christmas on Main – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., downtown Marshall

This Saturday, downtown Marshall will transform into an affordable street market just in time for Christmas. Over 80 vendors will be in attendance, with town storefronts decked out in holiday regalia all over Main Street.

Mars Hill Christmas Parade – 6 p.m., Mars Hill

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Mars Hill. The annual holiday parade will take place on Main Street and feature food from Big Al’s Bent Creek BBQ, Diggy Donuts and Old Roan Kettle Corn.

Sunday, Dec. 7

The Big Crafty: Community Day – Noon to 6 p.m., Harrah’s Cherokee Center – Asheville

The Big Crafty, Asheville’s semiannual craft shopping extravaganza, returns this weekend. Over 180 vendors will set up shop at Harrah’s Cherokee Center, selling artsy wares of all kinds. Community Day is free and open to the public.

Dickens Festival – Noon to 4 p.m., Biltmore Village

Charles Dickens, author of “A Christmas Carol,” will become Asheville’s very own Ghost of Christmas Present at the “Dickens Christmas in the Village” event this weekend. The event will feature Dickensian carols, roaming entertainers, hot beverages and holiday cheer all over Biltmore Village.

Uncommon Holiday Market – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Haywood Park Hotel Atrium, 46 Haywood St.

The unusual, antique and artistic is all for sale at the Uncommon Holiday Market. The annual event will feature vintage Christmas art, handmade gifts and more in Battery Park Hall inside of the Haywood Park Hotel Atrium this Saturday and Sunday.
