ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Detectives with the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office have arrested three people in connection with a breaking and entering investigation tied to a home in the Bent Creek area, according to authorities.

The break-in was reported May 24. Investigators said the suspects were found May 28 at a home on Twin Pine Trail in Candler, where deputies executed a search warrant.

During the search, detectives recovered more than 80 percent of the property reported stolen, officials said. They also found marijuana, methamphetamine and psilocybin mushrooms inside the residence, according to the sheriff’s office.

Authorities arrested and charged Michael Turner, Latasha Wilson and William Foreman in connection with the case.

Turner, Wilson and Foreman each face charges of breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen motor vehicle and possession of stolen property, according to arrest records. Additional drug-related charges vary by suspect and include possession of Schedule I, II and VI controlled substances, possession with intent to sell and deliver Schedule VI, maintaining a dwelling for the storage and sale of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.

District 2 Capt. Chris Stockton praised the work of investigators in the case.

“We are very grateful for the work of the detectives in this case whose effort led to the recovery of much of the property that was stolen,” Stockton said. “Often, stolen property is not recovered or damaged beyond its value. The outcome of this case represents the care and compassion of the investigators to seek accountability for those who victimized others.””
